1. Before washing, pat off dust and soak in cold water for 10-20 minutes. Remove, wring out excess water, and gently rub in a detergent or soap solution. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. To preserve the color of the yarn, add 2% acetic acid (vinegar is also acceptable) to the water to neutralize any remaining soap.

2. Washing knitwear with tea water (avoid using this method for white clothes) not only removes dust but also prevents fading and extends the lifespan of the yarn. The specific method is: In a basin of boiling water, add an appropriate amount of tea leaves. After the tea has steeped and cooled, strain out the tea leaves. Soak the sweater (or yarn) in the tea water for 15 minutes, then gently rub several times before rinsing thoroughly with clean water.

3. White knitwear may gradually turn black over time. If you wash the knitwear and then freeze it for 1 hour before drying, it will be as white as new. For dark-colored knitwear that has accumulated dust, use a damp sponge to gently wipe the stain.
